Stolen from writteninstars. Open mp3 player, put on random, list the first ten songs and what they make you think of. Turns out most of these don't make me think of anything but anywho:
1. Great Lake Swimmers - Various stages - Well, I've definitly seen people through "various stages of madness."
2. The Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime - This song makes me paranoid
3. Beck - Lost Cause - Awww, sad. Reminds me that I've been pretty happy lately.
4. Spokane - don't know, only listed as Track 7 - Pressing my ear to the moniter speaker to hear over the drunks outside my window.
5. Death Cab For Cutie - What Sarah Said - Well, every DCFC song makes me think of Emma Kayleigh.
6. The Six Parts Seven - This One Or That One? - What's so great about these guys?
7. Julie Doiron - Oh These Walls - Can make ya feel sad on any day of the year. yep.
8. Red House Painters - Have You Forgotten How To Love Yourself - Sappy title, the song makes me feel content.
9. Elliot Smith - Miss Misery - Umm, Good Will Hunting I guess.
10. Death Cab For Cutie - Stable Song - I never actually listen to this one. It's surrounded by better songs on my mp3 player
What's the chances that no Mountain Goats or Songs: Ohia songs came up? Oh well. I want to learn to play the banjo and find somebody who can sing in a weird quivering southern falsetto and we'll write songs about grass and puddles with Kayleigh whispering "kill, kill" or "hate, hate" every so often. Good times.

hey, it's a movie
Okay, when I first heard about the movie Syriana, I thought "the hell is this?" Apparently it's a movie about oil and the middle east. I'm kinda looking forward to it. It's nice to leave a movie and actually have it make you think. I need to be agitated out of my current apathetic funk. Also, I like the way it looks (for some reason this is a big deal with me). Kinda looks (I mean visual style) like the movie Traffic which I actually didn't like as far as the overall movie. Did any of that make since? Something else, George Clooney has been making some very political movies lately. At first I was thinking "oh boy, another actor trying to pretend that acting can begin to make people understand the problems of the world." But now I'm thinking what's wrong with that? Use movies as a soapbox, it's better than working on something you don't really care about. On a not really related note, the special effectsyness of King Kong looks very hokey to me. Just so you know.

job, and the lack there of
So, I'm broke. I've been trying to find a job on campus but the only openings are for associate professors. Jeez, I just want to work in the library or something. Also, I've been trying to find a job related to my major, psychology, but the only openings I can find require at least a BA. I could try and get a job at the booksamillion down here, but I don't get out of class until 4:05 everyday and usually shifts start at 4:00. I ran into a guy I knew in highschool who is a year younger than me and he told me about how he was making $10 an hour at whatever his job was. Arghhh!!!! Any advice would be appreciated. I guess I could always clean the dead birds off the runway at the airport.

Cash as in Johnny
i'm looking forward to the johnny cash movie, sorta. From what I've seen in the previews it seems a bit to flamboyant or awkward or something. It'd be great if the film was grainy or the performances are more understated instead of "fuck yeah, I'm Johnny Cash!" But I don't know, I haven't seen it. Maybe it'll be great. I just saw this thing on tv about Cash which is why I'm thinking about this. I'd forgotten how sad his video for Hurt is. Lately I've been more into rustic southerny vocalist like Will Johnson. Oh, and anybody who likes moody slightly southerny music (crappy description, I know) should go to epitonic.com type in "songs: ohia" and listen to the song "Two blue lights". "When the bells ring twelve times in Hell, the bells ring twelve times in this town as well." It's aces.

Cripes. ever have one of those nights where rain starts pouring down as soon as you step outside. And after braving the sudden flash flood to take back some movies you go to walmart to pick up some film which it turns out isn't ready yet despite the whole two days have gone by since bringing the film in thing. And during the whole drive your headlights keep going out because either your car has evil intentions against you or is ashamed of it's own need of a wash. Then when you get back to your apartment (the one that always, always causes you to give a "ah crap, this isn't where I thought I was going" sigh) the rain begins to lessen to where by the time you get to the door people are already heading back out to the pool to make comments about how certain things are bumpin' and let out "whooo!!!"'s that trail off in a way that makes you think that they aren't even fooling themselves. Don't you hate those kinds of nights. What's sad is that all of this took less than an hour and yet I consider it my entire night.

start first then end
so i got an account a while ago but now i guess i'm going to try to actually use it. maybe. my name's daniel and i'm currently a jobless student at MTSU. At the moment my behavioral neuroscience class is the only one that interest me (and it's fun to tell this to people). I like books, music, and tend to get obsessed with movies though apathy is my real passion. so there.
